Sustainment Maintenance: Mission/Contacts
Mission
To provide rotational units with the jobs, tools, parts and instruction to expand and develop their collective maintenance abilities.
Component Repair Companies (formerly known as General Support Maintenance) will be challenged in all aspects of Sustainment Level Maintenance. Companies will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection and rebuild of non-mission capable components using either production line or Lanes training techniques, while providing all associated Class IX Repair Parts support. Our on site machine shop allows the unit to provide all fabrication and repairs to support the maintenance mission. Units are provided engine and transmission dynamometers, as well as Armament test and diagnostic equipment, to test every component being returned to a serviceable condition. Soldiers will learn and use new techniques in our ventilated paint booth, including using the latest generation of water based CARC paint.
From initial inspection to the packing and crating of components being returned to the Army Supply System, your Soldiers will be given every opportunity to develop and improve their capabilities in the only ISO compliant training facility of its type in the world. Throughout the process the NMTC Staff will be available to teach, coach, train and provide honest feedback and evaluations. We strive to provide the best training environment and training opportunities anywhere in the world for Component Repair Companies.
