Field Maintenance: Mission/Contacts

Mission

At the Field Maintenance Training Facility the focus is on transformation and training. Units training at the Field Maintenance Training Center fall in on a live mission with fully functional STAMIS boxes and FORCEMOD equipment in need of repair. The NMTC staff are fully trained on the latest 2LM doctrine and are ready to guide the unit leadership through the challenge of transformation. It doesn't matter if you are transforming to a Forward Support Company, a Forward Maintenance Company or a Support Maintenance Company the staff at NMTC is ready to train you in Shop Office, Service/Recovery, Armament, Automotive, Electronics and Ground Support Equipment.

The staff can also support your training needs by providing any number of classes on current maintenance and/or automation. Your Soldiers will appreciate the opportunity to train on the latest diagnostics equipment available in the system. Training during the AT period can be tailored to the specific needs of your unit.

Your unit will learn how to improve your management skills and your leaders will be allowed to run their section while conducting a live mission. As the training progresses your unit will be put into increasing more difficult scenarios to measure the level of training accomplished. When you leave AT your commander will have a written evaluation outlining the unit strengths and weaknesses giving them the tools to develop meaningful and relevant training for the upcoming year.
