The Support and Plans Officer (SPO) is responsible for the National Maintenance Training Center's (NMTC) individual and collective training of Reserve Component Field and Sustainment Maintenance and Quartermaster Platoon units.

Specifically, the SPO is responsible for:

  • Providing management oversight of maintenance shops and the Supply Support Activity (SSA)
  • Identifying, documenting, and acquiring assets required to support the Center's training mission
  • All maintenance operations and related resource management
  • Ensuring operational compliance with Army and Federal safety and environmental programs and regulations
  • Coordinating with Army Materiel Command (AMC) for National Maintenance Program (NMP) workload
  • Workload planning, execution, and reporting to support Reserve Component maintenance unit and quartermaster platoon training requirements
  • Managing repair parts and labor reimbursements from AMC subordinate command military interdepartmental purchase requests (MIPR)
