Battalion Staff Training: Mission/Contacts
Mission
The Battalion Staff Training (BST) program is designed to provide the staff of a Sustainment Battalion with training in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), and Operation Order (OPORD) production which culminates in a Sustainment Simulation Exercise that focuses on Phase Four (Stability) Operations. The program is designed to accommodate all levels of staff proficiency, from a newly organized staff to one that has experienced operators. In coordination with the Battle Command Training Center (BCTC) the BST has the capability to conduct digital exercises which employ components of the Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS). The Sustainment Simulation Exercise can be run on a variety of drivers including the Entity Resolution Federation (ERF) driver, JANUS, JCATS and JDLM.
The Sustainment Simulation Exercise is designed to foster inter-working relationships and position functionality.
